Advanced automated system for rapid detection of urinary tract pathogens and resistance.


PATHPROFIL is based on White Light Reflectance Spectroscopy (WLRS) — a cutting-edge optical biosensing technology developed by ThetaMetrisis. WLRS monitors biomolecular reactions in real time without labels, detecting minute changes in thin films deposited on silicon substrates.
The portable PATHPROFIL unit integrates:
A spectroscopy module for signal acquisition
A microfluidic cartridge for sample handling
A software suite developed by QUBITEQ for data processing and visualization
The PATHPROFIL Software
The PATHPROFIL software constitutes the central operating core of the platform and is responsible for coordinating the device, managing the measurement process, processing the data, and generating the final results.
The platform guides the operator through all stages of the examination, from the referral for testing, sample collection, device preparation, and measurement acquisition, through to the evaluation and presentation of the results. At the same time, it ensures the secure storage of data, the traceability of procedures, and the complete recording of system actions and events.

At the core of the software, advanced algorithms for spectral analysis and biosensor data processing are integrated, converting the optical signals of the sensor into quantitative and qualitative results of biological relevance. Through calibration, quality control, and scientific evaluation mechanisms, the system supports the reliable assessment of biomarkers and the diagnostic interpretation of measurements.
The software architecture is designed with scalability, reliability, and usability in mind, enabling the support of different analysis protocols and future applications of the PATHPROFIL technology.
