QUBITEQ is a Greek high-technology company with many years of experience in the development of integrated software solutions, automation systems, and digital platforms for applications spanning both healthcare and industrial innovation.

In the PATHPROFIL project, QUBITEQ is responsible for the design and development of the software platform that supports the operation of the device, the management of measurement procedures, data processing, and the presentation of results to the end user. At the same time, it participates in the development and integration of analysis algorithms, the interconnection with the device subsystems, and the implementation of mechanisms for the management, traceability, and evaluation of measurements.

In the PATHPROFIL project, as the Scientific Project Coordinator, it coordinates the overall technological implementation of the platform, the design of the software infrastructure, the integration of the scientific algorithms, and the assurance of the system’s quality, security, and scalability.

Scientific Team of QUBITEQ

Dimitrios Galeridis – QUBITEQ Project Manager

Dimitrios Galeridis is an Electrical and Computer Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens and has more than 35 years of professional experience in the design and development of information systems, enterprise application software, and integrated IT solutions. His long-standing involvement in ERP systems, Business Intelligence, MIS, and digital transformation projects has contributed to the development of significant expertise in the design, implementation, and management of complex technological projects.

He has extensive experience in international collaborative environments, having participated in multinational research and development projects, business fora, and innovation initiatives.

In the PATHPROFIL project, he serves as QUBITEQ’s Project Manager, coordinating the company’s activities, collaboration with the other partners, and the development of the software subsystems that support the operation of the platform.

Georgios Stefanopoulos – Scientific and Technical Advisor

Georgios Stefanopoulos is an Electrical and Computer Engineer and holds a postgraduate degree in Health Services Management. He has more than 25 years of experience in the design and development of large-scale information systems, digital health services, and complex data management solutions.

He has served as a Special Advisor to the Ministry of Health, as a member of the Board of Directors of IDIKA, and as a member of the National eHealth Governance Council, while also contributing to the design of major national digital health and e-government projects.

In the PATHPROFIL project, he participates as a scientific and technical advisor, supporting the design of the platform, the application of standards such as HL7, requirements analysis, innovation management, and the formulation of the strategy for exploiting the project results.

Dimitrios Bekris – Software Engineer

Dimitrios Bekris is an Electrical and Computer Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens, with specialization in software development, machine learning, computer vision, and artificial intelligence systems. He has experience in the development of backend applications, scientific data processing tools, and systems for the integration of smart devices.

He has participated in research projects in the fields of artificial intelligence and computer vision, while also collaborating with the Athena Research Center and the National Technical University of Athens on projects involving the development of advanced machine learning algorithms.

In the PATHPROFIL project, he participates in the development of the platform software, the interconnection of the diagnostic device with the control subsystems, and the implementation of mechanisms for scientific processing and validation of results.

Eleftheria Tzannatou – Software Engineer

Eleftheria Tzannatou is a graduate of the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus and holds an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Athens. She has significant experience in the development of web applications, information systems, and database infrastructures.

She specializes in ASP.NET, C#, Python, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL Server technologies, as well as in the design of applications based on MVC architecture and the management of complex data.

In the PATHPROFIL project, she participates in the development of the platform software, the implementation of user interface functionalities, and the interconnection of the individual application subsystems with the database and business logic services.

Spyridon Tsingas – Database Administrator

Spyridon Tsingas is a Computer Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in software application development, database design, and the management of Microsoft SQL Server systems. He has significant experience in the development of enterprise applications, information systems, and public sector applications.

He has participated in projects involving the development of systems for educational and public sector organizations, as well as in projects concerning the design and optimization of large-scale databases.

In the PATHPROFIL project, he has undertaken the role of Database Administrator, being responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the platform database, as well as for ensuring data integrity and traceability.

Dimitris Andreou – Chief Technology Officer

Dimitris Andreou is a computer scientist specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, MLOps/DevOps infrastructures, and the development of complex information systems. He holds a degree in Computing and Mathematics and an MPhil from the University of Essex, with a research focus on brain-computer interfaces.

He has many years of experience in the design of software architectures, cloud infrastructures, data analytics platforms, and artificial intelligence systems for international organizations.

As QUBITEQ’s technical lead, he is responsible for the technological architecture of PATHPROFIL, the design of the development infrastructures, the security policies, and the integration of the scientific algorithms and data processing mechanisms into the final software platform.

Angelos Mellos – Frontend Software Engineer

Angelos Mellos is a Frontend Software Engineer specializing in the development of modern web applications and interactive user interface systems. He is a final-year Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the National Technical University of Athens and has several years of experience in the design, development, and optimization of software applications using modern web development technologies.

Since 2021, he has been working at QUBITEQ as a Frontend Developer and Team Leader, participating in the development and maintenance of complex information systems and enterprise applications. He specializes in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web application development architectures, while also having significant experience in user experience design, user interface optimization, and collaboration with backend and infrastructure development teams.

In the PATHPROFIL project, he has undertaken the design and development of the platform’s graphical user interface, contributing to the implementation of the operational screens, workflows, and interaction mechanisms between the operator and the system.

Stratos Salpas – Frontend Software Engineer

Stratos Salpas is a Software Engineer specializing in the development of modern web applications and interactive user interface systems. He has a strong background in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript technologies, as well as experience in the development of scalable software applications with an emphasis on usability, performance, and reliability.

He has developed full-stack applications using frontend and backend technologies such as React, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, while also having experience in the design of reusable software components, application integration through RESTful APIs, and data management in modern information environments. He is also familiar with software development practices including version control, code reviews, responsive design, and best practices in user interface development.

At QUBITEQ, he participates as a Frontend Developer in the development of enterprise and research software applications, contributing to the design and implementation of modern digital platforms.

In the PATHPROFIL project, he participates in the team responsible for developing the platform’s graphical user interface, implementing the examination management and device monitoring screens, as well as connecting the result presentation mechanisms with the data processing subsystems.

Kosmas Gourgiotis – Mobile Application Developer

Kosmas Gourgiotis is an Informatics and Telecommunications Engineer, a graduate of the University of Western Macedonia, specializing in mobile application development and cross-platform software. He has experience in developing applications for Android and iOS environments using Flutter and Dart, as well as in the management of software infrastructures, cloud services, and application hosting systems.

During his professional career, he has worked in technical support, information systems management, and software development roles, gaining significant experience in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, managing infrastructures, and providing high-availability services. He also has knowledge of web development technologies, databases, DevOps tools, and software deployment automation systems.

In the PATHPROFIL project, he contributes to the development of applications and supporting software tools, as well as to the interconnection of applications with the platform services. His contribution focuses on improving the user experience, supporting the processes for managing and monitoring the device, and integrating modern mobile application technologies into the PATHPROFIL ecosystem.

Evangelos Panagiaris Maleas – Service & Systems Designer

Evangelos Panagiaris Maleas is a Product and Systems Design Engineer from the University of the Aegean and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, specializing in the design of services, digital systems, and innovative technological solutions with a human-centered approach. His professional and research activity focuses on the design of digital ecosystems, the study of user experience, the analysis of user needs, and the application of systemic design methodologies.

In the PATHPROFIL project, he participates in the design of the platform’s user experience and functional workflows, contributing to requirements analysis, the modeling of usage processes, and the creation of a user-friendly and effective interaction environment between the operator and the system.

Georgios Prasinos

Georgios Prasinos is an executive in the field of information technology and digital transformation, with experience in the organization, management, and development of software projects for businesses, institutions, and organizations.

He is the COO of QUBITEQ, a company active in IT services, software development, mobile applications, integrated technological solutions, and NFC / RFID / contactless technologies. Through his role, he actively participates in business planning, project management, and the transformation of real market needs into functional digital products.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from the University of Hertfordshire, and has also completed studies at the Technological Educational Institute in Food Technology and Nutrition.

Within the framework of the PATHPROFIL project, he participates in coordinating and monitoring QUBITEQ’s contribution to the development of software for sensor data processing and the operational support of the measurement setup.
